Grace Congregational UCC

The ministries that we offer are the cornerstones of Grace Congregational Church. Starting with Sunday School, classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 for children three (3) years old through 8th grade. A Sunday morning Adult Bible study is also offered starting at 9:15am.

Our educational philosophy is to present the educational material to all age levels in such manner as to allow the student the greatest opportunity to comprehend and grow in their faith. This approach applies to the youngest to the most senior/mature faith journey.

For example, students 3 years old through 1^st grade experience their faith through song, story telling and hands on activities. For 2^nd through 5^th graders we use the “Rotational Model” called “Anchored in Jesus”. A Bible story is taught for a month instead of a week. Through the use of drama, games, movies and arts & crafts, children are able to learn a Bible story in a multi-sensory way. This method helps ensure that if a child did not understand the story one week (or was absent) they will have additional opportunities utilizing other sensory experiences.
