Time After Church
Description: Prepare and serve refreshments following a service of worship. Coffee is provided by the church. A light-colored beverage (apple juice, for example) is provided by the server. Servers also provide cookies or some other simple snack for people to enjoy.

Description: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of worship. Welcome guests, distribute bulletins, collect the offering, and assist with the diverse leadership needs of our Sunday morning community.

Description: Welcome Sunday morning guests with the Right Hand of Christian fellowship. Be hospitable to visitors and members alike. Go the second mile in offering your assistance. Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of worship.

Liturgist
Description: Lay members of Grace Congregational Church are needed to assist with the leadership of worship at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. The responsibility includes reading scripture and presiding over the reception of the offering.

Meals On Wheels
Description: The community of Two Rivers offers an at-home meal service program. Grace Congregational Church regularly offers to provide volunteers to distribute meals to those in need. Meal delivery begins at 11:15 a.m.

Ushers for Worship at Hamilton Home
Description: Grace Congregational Church quarterly provides Thursday morning worship services on the first and third Sunday of the month. Volunteers are needed to gather the worshipers together and to assist with the service of worship.

Adult Choir
Description: The Adult Choir sings in worship at Grace Congregational Church three times a month, September through May. The choir practices on Wednesdays, from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. There are no auditions to join the choir.

Vocal and Instrumental Soloist
Description: We are always looking for musically-oriented people to assist us in our worship of God. Persons with musical talent should contact and rehearse with Debby Kimmes, Andrea Allington, or Mary Kay Meissner.
Funeral Dinners
Description: As a service to our bereaved families, volunteers serve a catered meal in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Congregational Church. Individuals are needed to set-up and take down tables, serve the meal, and assist with clean-up.

Chaperons for the Appalachia Service Project (ASP)
Description: All adult chaperons of youth-oriented experiences must agree to back-ground checks and abide by the safe sanctuary standards of our church. ASP adult chaperons should volunteer a year in advance of the summer trip, and assist with fund-raising, wreath-making, study sessions and the week-long responsibilities of working with youth in Central Appalachia. The dates of the ASP trip are determined by the group at its first meeting in September.

Chaperons for Moon Beach Work Camp
Description: All adult chaperons of youth-oriented experiences must agree to back-ground checks and abide by the safe sanctuary standards of our church. Moon Beach Work Camp volunteers are needed for the five-day ‘Extreme Make-Over’ experience in early June. Moon Beach is located between St. Germaine and Eagle River. Chaperons should enjoy being with youth and be willing to work side-by-side with our youth as they prepare the camp for the summer schedule.

Lawn and Garden Work
Description: Volunteers are needed to maintain and improve the garden plots on our property at Grace Congregational Church. This is generally a May through October responsibility.

Hope House
Description: Hope House is a ministry of churches in Manitowoc County for the homeless. Hope House is located on the corner of Marshall and Tenth Streets. About five times a year, our church is responsible for providing meals and overnight supervision. Volunteers must submit to background checks and a two hour Hope House training session.

Lap Robes
Description: A group of individuals meets monthly to make lap robes. The lap robes are typically distributed by the volunteers of the Appalachia Service Project.

Sunday School Teacher
Description: Christian education is vital to the life of Grace Congregational Church. From September through May, adults are needed to teach the Christian faith to our children and youth, using a curriculum provided our church. Important attributes of teachers are: love for children, a willing to learn along with children, and a certain trust in Jesus Christ.

Prayer Partner
Description: Volunteers are needed to pray for the needs that are brought to our attention. We request that prayer partners honor the importance of prayer and uphold the confidentiality of the concerns brought to the pray-ers attention. A prayer concern list is weekly e-mailed to Prayer Partners at the end of each week.

Board Leaders
Description: Approximately 50 individuals serve our congregation in a leadership capacity on our Cabinet, Trustees, Board of Christian Education, Board of Mission and Outreach, and the Diaconate. Most of our leadership positions at Grace Congregational Church are three year terms.

Mentors for the Confirmation Class
Description: It is a practice of our church to assign mentors to youth who are studying the Christian faith in our Confirmation Class. We expect mentors to attend 3-4 class sessions each year and to personally initiate a meaningful, faith-based relationship with the youth.

Wreath-Making
Description: Adult and youth volunteers are needed to assist with the sale and construction of Christmas Wreaths. Beginning in mid-October, the construction of wreaths happens at 4133 Martin Lane, the garage of Jim and Shelby Bohman. Proceeds from this project support the youth who volunteer with the Appalachia Serviced Project.

Relay For Life
Description: Grace Congregational Church sponsors at least one team each year at the Manitowoc County Relay For Life.
